Recipe: Peanut Butter

Homemade peanut butter is the bomb 💥. And it’s really easy to make. It does take a little while in the blender, but it so worth it.

All you need to do is:

  1. Roast 2 cups of peanuts in the oven at 180 degrees, until golden brown (about 10 mins). NB: You can skip this step if you want, but roasting the nuts before blending gives a deeper flavour and makes the nuts easier to blend.

  2. Pulse peanuts in blender until you have a soft, thick spread (around 10-15 mins), stopping to scrape down sides every minute.

  3. Add in any extras, before giving it one final pulse. I like to add a dash of salt. You can add some sweetener (a squeeze of date syrup or honey goes nicely).

  4. Spoon it into a reused glass jar and it should last about 3 months in the fridge. But to be honest, you'll eat it within the week 😝.

💡 You can also use the same process with any other nuts. Cashew butter is yum.

💡 You could also try a much better version of Nutella, but making hazelnut butter and add in cacao and sweetener… mmm! Check out our chocolate spread recipe here.
