Amazing bicarbonate of soda tips

Bicarbonate of soda (or, as our friends in the US call it: baking soda) is one of those funny things that we always have in the cupboard, but did you know, it has many more uses than simply to help raise your cakes?

Here are our amazing tricks for using bicarbonate of soda:

🖍 Sprinkle on a damp cloth and use to remove wax crayon doodles from walls and furniture.

👟 Spoon 3-4 tbsp into the foot of an old pair of tights and tie a knot in the open end. Put in a the cupboard where you store all your stinky trainers, to remove all odours.

👕 Add 200g to your washing load. Both whites & colours will come out brighter. Combined with liquid detergent, it helps balance the pH levels to get clothes cleaner.

🚿 Scrub your tub, tiles, sink and shower curtain with a damp sponge and bicarb to remove mildew.

🗑 Place some bicarb in the bottom of your bin to fight odours. Perfect for nappy-bins.

💎 When your sterling silver gets tarnished, apply a paste of 3 parts bicarb to 1 part water, with a lint-free cloth and rinse.

👄 1 tsp in a little water works as a mouthwash to freshen your breath.

🛀🏼 Create homemade bath bombs! 💣
