Magical vinegar tricks

Did you know that regular white vinegar is naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal? This makes it a great ingredient as a base for your DIY home-cleaners.

There's no need to buy another bottle of bathroom spray or glass cleaner, just refill the bottles you already have with homemade – and just as effective – alternatives.

🍸 Rinse aid:
Simply pour vinegar into the rinse-aid compartment of your dishwasher.

🍽 Dishwasher cleaner:
Pour a cup of vinegar and run empty for a short cycle to get rid of limescale build-up.

🛁 Bathroom cleaner:
Reuse a spray bottle and add equal parts vinegar and water. Add a few drops of essential oils and the vinegar smell should dissipate.

🖼 Glass cleaner:
1 part vinegar to 4 parts water can be used to keep windows and mirrors sparkling.

🚿 Mildew remover:
Spritz affected area with straight vinegar and leave for 30 mins, then rinse off.

🛀🏼 Drain cleaner:
Pour a good dose of bicarb of soda down the drain, followed by vinegar. Leave for 10-25 mins then pour boiling water down the drain.

There you have it, a shiny, clean house without any need to buy another plastic bottle of cleaner!
